REC IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS!

Athletes are in grades 6-12 with competitive / league / gameplay / club / travel volleyball experience. Players MUST know the basics of serving, passing, setting and hitting to participate in this program.
REC teams will consist of players who want to train and scrimmage internally and compete with teams that come to our location. During the rest of the time, they will train and scrimmage our Travel teams and coaches.
We will have 4 teams that will be divided by both skill level and age. We will be accepting grades 6-12 and will not know how many per age group we will have until practice starts. We have our first few practices to assess which team your athlete belongs to and they may be moved to different teams throughout the season based on progress.
The pricing is very competitive:
$1800.00 for REC
Pricing includes coaches’ stipends, gym rental, and two T-Shirts for each player. Players must provide their own spandex, proper footwear, and kneepads.
TRAVEL:
Players MUST register and attend tryouts to be considered for Travel teams. Players who want to participate in REC volleyball if they do not make a Travel team should sign up for REC now and then register for tryouts. We will move those players if they make a Travel team.
Travel teams will scrimmage internally against REC as well as attend one multi-day tournament a month + two one-day tournaments for a total of SIX tournaments. We will attend tournaments up to 4-5 hours (drive) away max. Players and their families must pay for their own hotel rooms during travel. Athletes must stay with their parents/guardians in the hotel.
We will be running four teams this year: one 14s, 15s, 16s, and 17s team.
$2500.00 for TRAVEL
Pricing includes tournaments, coaches’ hotel, coaches’ stipends, gym rental, 2 jerseys and a backpack for each player. Players must provide their own black spandex, proper footwear, and kneepads.
Parents and/or guardians must travel with their players and are responsible for booking and paying for their own hotel rooms. Players must stay with their parents/guardians and parents/guardians will be responsible for their players during travel tournaments.
We will travel under the AAU banner. If it is in your purview, we encourage you to try out for travel club, especially if you want to compete at more tournaments across the region. The beautiful part about our program is that if you want to participate in other sports or activities, you can! Here are some real-world examples from previous years: You want to play basketball? Cool! You want to be part of the debate team? Awesome! You want to be in the school or community play? Amazing! If you can balance the schedule, we will be flexible. With a lower level of tournament commitment, kids can do other things during club season especially if your child is not looking to play volleyball in college.
In reference to scholarships, Coach Floyd is our recruiting coordinator and if anyone is interested in playing at the club level in college (community college or division II or III), he can help guide you. This is a free service we offer as part of your club fee. There are no guarantees, but you can get the experience from Coach Floyd & our staff - having coached college volleyball for 10 plus years as well as having helped to send 50+ kids to school on scholarship including our own players, we know a thing or two about the process :)
We hope this gives you an overall view of what we are trying to achieve this year. We are all about developing well-rounded young adults. We will develop a great volleyball player, and, in the process, we will mold them into amazing people with the help of our awesome coaches/mentors.
If you know you would like to play for us this 2025-2026 season no matter what, please register for our REC program ASAP to GUARANTEE your spot within our program. If your player makes a Travel team, after registering for REC, we will collaborate with you to switch your registration over to the Travel Team they have made and how you can pay the difference.

TRAVEL TEAMS
Nonrefundable Tryout Fee: $10 (plus online processing fee)
Tryout Dates: We have two tryout dates: Monday, November 17 from 7pm-9pm and Wednesday, November 19 from 7pm-9pm. You must choose ONE date to attend. All age group tryouts will happen at the same time on both days. Players will be divided by age group.
We will accept girls ages 11+ for Travel Tryouts. We are unable to accept boys at this time.

• Players who were born on or after July 1, 2007 (18 years or younger) who shall neither have completed nor are in a grade higher than the eleventh grade (11th) during the current academic year will be allowed to participate in the 17 and under age division.
REC TEAMS
REC is Pay to Play. Once you register and pay you are guaranteed a spot within our program.
We will accept boys and girls grades 6-12 and four practice groups will be formed based on both skill level and age.
